Rundown Town

I don't know what town they're trying to run, but it sure as hell ain't mine. Jay Camel gets a pass from me just because he's made a lot of good music to cover the mediocre times (this being one of the), but c'mon "yeezy", you think people give a fuck about what you say about Reebok in a rap song? GTFO. And Rihanna, just show the people what they want to see; the goods. Leave the stretching of subpar vocal talent to someone who actually can hit the octaves (trashy Christina Aguilera).

Don't mean to come off so critical, but hey, what can I say? The concept of this video has been done to death, and was best left to Dre, Pac, & Roger Troutman:

State of the Indsutry

What it is people.

I've got a question for any and all readers out there. What the hell has happened to "streetwear" in this last year? Has it fallen off the face of the Earth as a profitable/viable sector of fashion, or am I just out of the loop?

I've tried my best to keep abreast of what's around via the usual online suspects that shall remain nameless, but I have yet to see anything at all this year that has blown my mind or made me want to step up my own creativity/output here at Läwhy?. Now rest assured, I'm not letting this site die, it's just that I've tried to do my best to restrict updates to being something regarding the line.

However, since I'm the only one funding this project (with a few very generous donations from a few key benefactors), I've tried to bide my time and am waiting to unleash a market that will be receptive to what I'm trying to do. I'm just assuming that:

1.) The economic climate has most individuals shook as far as spending as much as they have in seasons past

& 2.) This market sector just got stagnant super fast since everyone was just trying to copy what was successful, found success themselves, then struggled to innovate and grow on their own

Am I close? Hitting the nail on the head? Let me now, I'd like to get back in the loop. Coolguy attitude was so over before it started.

In the meantime, I'd like for Läwhy? to become an outlet for me in my everyday life, in every last facet of it. I'm still settling into my own after stalling college for so long, and am readjusting to how to live life as an adult while still enjoying/partaking in things that make me who I am, even though much of it is based on childhood experiences/influences. And cars. And food. And girls. Lots of girls....
